DESCRIPTION:Railway Family Week is back for 2023 \nCharity the Railway Benefit Fund (RBF) have today announced the return of their popular ‘Railway Family Week’ event\, which will be held between 24 – 30 April this year.\nRailway Family Week is a fundraising and awareness campaign organised and hosted by RBF; a charity that supports current\, former\, and retired railway people and their families. Founded in 2021\, the week has a simple aim; to bring together the entire industry and raise £50\,000 for RBF.\nThe last 12 months have been particularly difficult for the rail industry\, and RBF have had their services called on like never before. In 2022\, the charity supported over 1\,000 railway people and their families with financial grants\, debt advice and legal help. In addition\, RBF launched a new Energy Fund to support with the cost-of-living crisis and increase in energy bills. This was all made possible thanks to RBF’s generous supporters who exceeded the £50\,000 target set during last year’s Railway Family Week.\nRBF President\, Pete Waterman OBE\, said: “We’re delighted that Railway Family Week is in its third year now and we’re ready to make it the biggest yet. The £50\,000 target we set is vital for the charity; it could fund a fifth of all of our services throughout the year. Please show your support and come together with RBF this April to support the railway family.” \nThe charity will soon be providing more detail on the variety of ways that companies and individuals can get involved with fundraising activities and donations for their Auction of Experiences. DESCRIPTION:The RBF has held our Annual Fundraising Dinner in Glasgow for 12 years\, with many wonderful events at the Grand Central hotel\, providing an iconic and historic back drop. The Dinner is our biggest regular Fundraising Event. The charity relies on fundraising activities to be able to continue to support railway employees and their families across the UK. \nThis year\, RBF have taken on board (excuse the pun) feedback from our ever-growing network of support\, for the first time ever\, their dinner is going to be hosted in the charity’s home town of Crewe at the historic and iconic Crewe Hall! The evening will be named ‘Gin and Jazz’ embracing the glamour and vibes of an iconic local venue with a popular twist. The evening will bring fine food\, great entertainment and a platform for crucial fundraising. \nThe RBF has some exciting projects and campaigns coming up to further engage with the industry and raise awareness of the work that we do. Remaining fresh and relevant is crucial to us! It seemed a great time to review our flagship Fundraising event. \nThe RBF would like to acknowledge the huge support their Scottish Committee have given over the last 12 years and the warmth of reception in Scotland was consistently fantastic. The hope is that with the wide accessibility of Crewe Station\, our Scottish supporters will still be able to join in the fun but with easier access for the wider industry.   \nCrewe Hall is only 2 miles from Crewe Station. DESCRIPTION:The RBF has held our Annual Fundraising Dinner in Glasgow for 12 years\, with many wonderful events at the Grand Central hotel\, providing an iconic and historic back drop. The Dinner is our biggest regular Fundraising Event. The charity relies on fundraising activities to be able to continue to support railway employees and their families across the UK. \nThis year\, RBF have taken on board (excuse the pun) feedback from our ever-growing network of support\, for the first time ever\, their dinner is going to be hosted in the charity’s home town of Crewe at the historic and iconic Crewe Hall! The evening will be named ‘Gin and Jazz’ embracing the glamour and vibes of an iconic local venue with a popular twist. The evening will bring fine food\, great entertainment and a platform for crucial fundraising. \nThe RBF has some exciting projects and campaigns coming up to further engage with the industry and raise awareness of the work that we do. Remaining fresh and relevant is crucial to us! It seemed a great time to review our flagship Fundraising event. \nThe RBF would like to acknowledge the huge support their Scottish Committee have given over the last 12 years and the warmth of reception in Scotland was consistently fantastic. The hope is that with the wide accessibility of Crewe Station\, our Scottish supporters will still be able to join in the fun but with easier access for the wider industry.   \nCrewe Hall is only 2 miles from Crewe Station.
